Energy Supply-Demand Balance Based Resource Allocation for Cellular Network with Smart Grid

چکیده

—Energy-efficient communications as one of the promising technologies for 5G wireless communication systems have gained great attention. This paper investigates the energy aware resource allocation problem for the cognitive cellular network under the smart grid environment. Considering the Real-Time Pricing (RTP) model and the energy consumption model of the small cell base station, a net bit transmission benefit utility is designed. The optimization problem of maximizing the net bit transmission benefit as a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) is put forward with the transmission rate constraint. To simplify the complexity of MIP problem, the subchannel allocation is processed based on the proportion of quality of service requirement, meanwhile the barrier method with BFGS algorithm is used to solve the power allocation. Simulation results validate that, the proposed resource allocation scheme can increase the net bit transmission benefit and improve the energy supply-demand ratio; furthermore the small cell base station cooperating with the smart grid is more beneficial to the energy efficient design.
